Call for Recognition of Excellence Award Nominations

The National Bobwhite Technical Committee (NBTC) Science Subcommittee is seeking nominations for the National Quail Symposia Recognition of Excellence Award for the Eighth National Quail Symposium to be held July 26-28, 2017 in Knoxville, TN. The award will be presented during the Quail 8 banquet luncheon on Friday, July 28th. The award is a fine art print of the Quail 8 Proceedings cover with an engraved plaque with the recipient’s name. Please email nominations to Beth Emmerich at beth.emmerich@mdc.mo.gov. The deadline for nominations is February 3, 2017.

Award Criteria

  1. Recognize an individual or group that has made significant contributions to quail-related science and/or research that has improved general knowledge about quail, quail populations or quail habitat in a specific area.
  2. The contribution should be evidenced by a sustained effort over a period of time.
  3. The contribution should be related to science.

Selection Criteria

  1. The selection of award recipients will be made by NBTC Science Subcommittee.
  2. Nomination will be accepted at large and by NBTC members.
  3. Nominations are due to NBTC Science Subcommittee Chair Beth Emmerich by February 3, 2017, beth.emmerich@mdc.mo.gov.
  4. Nominations must include the following: Name, address, email, and phone number of the nominee, a biographic sketch of the individual or history of the group, and an overview of the contribution to quail research and the area influenced by the contributions if applicable.

Call for “In Memoriam” Nominations

The National Bobwhite Technical Committee (NBTC) Science Subcommittee is seeking nominations for inclusion in the National Quail Symposia “In Memoriam” section of the Proceedings of the Eighth National Quail Symposium. Please consider nominating an individual who has left their mark on quail research and passed away in the last five years. Please email nominations with a brief biography of the individual, highlighting their efforts to expand our knowledge and understanding of quail to Beth Emmerich at beth.emmerich@mdc.mo.gov. The deadline for nominations is February 3, 2017.
